Walter Jakobs Type designer (b. 1891) who headed the Höheren Fachschule für das graphische Gewerbe in Stuttgart starting in 1935. Designer at C. E. Weber of the blackletter typefaces Chronika (1936, J.D. Trennert&Sohn; fett and licht followed in 1938 and 1939) and Verzierte Chronika (1937, C.E. Weber). Sometimes the last name is spelled Jacobs.
