Australia-based Tom Chiu is working hard on Chinese and Korean truetype fonts. Some are almost finished, and all are free: check out Ming Li, Kai, Hei and FangSong. He designed FingerNumber (each digit from 0-8 is represented by fingers, Hong Kong Style), MimosaRat (rat-related characters) and TomScript (his handwriting). The Chinese fonts are temporarily unavailable. He also has software to view Chinese characters.
