Ikarus [Peter Karow]

URW's font editor for UNIX workstations, Apple Macintosh and Windows 95/Windows NT PCs. Between 700 and 1000 USD. The web page says that the prices are for Macs only, so I am a bit puzzled. Do the other versions cost more? This superb piece of software was developed by Peter Karow. The first digital fonts were designed on the Ikarus system---it is said that the first font designed on the Ikarus system was Marconi in 1975---a cooperation of Rudolf Hell (the engineer) and Hermann Zapf.
