Emil Meyer [Erich Meyer] Type designer (b. Offenbach, 1898, d. Waldshut, 1983). He created the blackletter faces Tannenberg mager and halbfett (1933-1935, D. Stempel), Woellmer-Fraktur (1937, Wilhelm Woellmer). In several publications and web sites, Emil is called "Erich". Schnelle calls him Erich Mayer. Digitizations of his faces include DS Tannenberg (2001, Delbanco) and Tannenberg (Gerhard Helzel). Klingspor link.
