Vadim Vladimirovich Lazurski Moscow-based book designer and type designer, b. 1909 (Odessa), d. 1994 (Moscow). At Paratype, one can buy his font Lazurski (1962), of which many freeware versions exist as well. He worked for the state typographic institute Polygraphmash, where he made numerous typefaces such as Ribbon Antique (1965). A Lazurski Award has been established in his honor, and several typefaces called Lazurski circulate in the type ether. An example includes Vladimir Yefimov's Lazurski (1984-1996). Russian bio.
