Designer at Genzsch&Heyse (1922-2001), who made Fox (1953-1955, a heavy and quite ugly brush script) and Hobby (1955-1956, a casual heavy font). Hobby was revived in 2007 by Nick Curtis as Amper Sans NF (2007). Fox was revived in 2007 by Ralph M. Unger at Profonts / URW++ as Fox. There is confusion about the first name. Schnelle, Klingspor and Profonts / URW++ say it is Werner, not Walter, while Linotype sticks with Walter. |
