Otakar Karlas

Or Ottokar Karlas. Type designer (b. Prague, 1965) at Storm Type in Czechia, who co-designed the 25-weight Preissig font family in 1998 with Frantisek Storm, after work by Vojtech Preissig. He is an independent typographer and teaches at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. At ATypI 2004 in Prague, he spoke about the history of Czech type.
