Weygel's Menschenalphabet
[Martin Weygel]
Bavarian creator of an alphabet in 1560 (etched in wood) in Augsburg (Germany), but basically a copy of Peter Flötner's Menschenalphabet of 1534. The alphabet shows letters composed of human figures. A digitization was done in 2007 by Paulo W at Intellecta Design: Silvestre Weygel. Character did another one, Weygel Bodies, in 2006. |
