Artist who probably comes from Thurgau, and who lived roughly from 1485-1546. Creator of an alphabet (now known as Flötner's Menschenalphabet) in 1534 that shows each letter made up with human figures. Picture. Another picture. Another picture. Another picture. He also made a more sexually explicit anthropomorphic alphabet font [see also here and here]. One of his alphabets was scanned and fonted by "Character" and posted on abf on November 25, 2002: called Flotner, it can be found here.
