Franciscus Skoryna Also Francysk Skaryna, b. 1486 Polazk (white Russia), d. 1541 Prague. First printer in white Russia (Belarussia). Skaryna was one of the first to publish in the Cyrillic alphabet, but not the very first as Oktoikh was published by Schweipolt Fiol in 1491.
