Hotbot crooks
Go to Hotbot and type in anything including font or fonts. Hotbot used to be nice, but now, you first have to scroll down the list of commercial links with misleading information before you get to what you were looking for. Typical entries here include "35000 Fonts Download 24/7 Adobe, Linotype, GarageFonts, Berthold - Mac&Win www.philsfonts.com". Let's see: you can't download anything without paying, so that's a lie. But Phil's Fonts is not to blame, as the competition is equally crooked: ITC Fonts invites you to "download truetype fonts", and so does Agfa/Monotype. They are no better than the Nigerian scam artists. Sorry to blow my top, but "download" in my book means "download", period. I do not mind the ads, but at least use different words like "buy" or "purchase". |
