ABOUT

Antonio Sinibaldi

Late fifteenth century Italian renaissance era calligrapher who was based in Florence, and who was famous for his florentine style of antiqua and cancellaresca. His alphabets inspired many faces, such as Petrarch (ATF), Sinibaldi (1926, Raffaello Bertieri) and Bologna (1946, Stephenson Blake). Digital typefaces based on his work include 1480 Humanistica (2010) by Klaus-Peter Schäffel.
