Linotype XSF Fonts
XSF stands for excellent screen fonts. From Linotype's promotional blurb: "XSF-Fonts are OpenType or TrueType fonts with an excellent appearance on screen at small sizes or low resolutions. They are specially engineered and optimized as a response of the continuous increasing demand for exceptional readability of typefaces on computer screens. To date Linotype has included more than 200 (!) screen optimized fonts in its growing XSF library. Among others the ever popular font classics Neue Helvetica 55 roman, Neue Helvetica 75 bold, Frutiger 45 light, Frutiger 55 roman and Trade Gothic roman are included." |
