Karen Cheng Graphic designer and associate professor in the visual communications program at the University of Washington, Seattle. Author of Designing Type (2005, Yale University Press). Karen Cheng is Associate Professor in the Visual Communication Design program at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she teaches type design and typography. She was previously an instructor at the School of Design at the University of Cincinnati, where she received her Masters degree in Graphic Design. Speaker at ATypI 2007 in Brighton on Teaching type in the city.
