Pakistani Typography or PakType is an open source project run by a group of volunteer designers and font developers for making Unicode based open source OpenType fonts supporting Arabic Script under the terms of the GNU GPL as published by the FSF. The project leader is Lateef Sagar. Free fonts include PakType Naqsh (2004: Glyphs designed by Umar Rashid and Lateef Sagar Shaikh. OTF made by Lateef Sagar Shaikh) and PakType Tehreer (2005: Glyphs designed by Mohammad Hanif. OTF made by Lateef Sagar Shaikh).
