During his computer science studies at the University of Hamburg, Frank Bruder, a supporter of open source code software, designed several typefaces. Creator of the Open Font Library fonts Tomson Talks (2008, comic lettering), Block Stencil (2008), Far Side (2008, sci-fi) and Futhaark hnias (2008, runes), Tomson Talks (2010, hand-printed).
