American wood type manufacturer that existed from 1876 until 1895, and was set up by John Stevens and William Wood in New York City. They In 1874, they had patented a process for laminating celluloid to wood to produce celluloid wood type. Example of that: No. 20 Eureka (1888), Clarendon X Condensed (1890).
