Ludwig Petzendorfer Born in 1851, Ludwig Petzendorfer published Jugendstil Schriftenatlas (1905) at the Stuttgart house of Julius Hoffmann. He also edited a follow-up in 1903, called Neue Folge, perhaps the greatest collection of art nouveau type styles collected in one book. In 1984, Dover Publications published a a facsimile of the latter book under the title Treasury of Authentic Art Nouveau Alphabets, Decorative Initials, Monograms, Frames and Ornaments. That affordable book was bought by many with the result that most of the alphabets in the book have now been digitized by people like Claude Pelletier (as free fonts) and Tom Wallace (commercially).
