Aljaž Vindiš Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia, b. 1987, Slovenia. His typefaces: Ion. A slab serif typeface created during the design workshops TipoBrda, e.g., in 2008. While working as an editor for the Slovenian student cult paper Tribuna, Aljaž started developing Tribunal (in 2009). Several versions of this typeface can be seen on the web sites of various TipoRenesansa workshops in Slovenia, which he helped co-mentoring from 2009 until 2011. Tribunal received the Brumen Award for typeface design at the 5th Slovene Biennale of Visual Communication in 2011. Tribunal was released as a retail typeface in 2013 by Typotheque.
