Rens de Groot Rens de Groot (Revolving, Amsterdam) made the geometric multiline typeface Lineatype (2011). It is based on a 32 x 24 grid. This grid is divided into 12 blocks. Each 8 blocks wide by 8 blocks high. The use of 9 lines per stoke is due to this grid. Free download.
