ABOUT

David Manthey

For The Practical Surveyor, a reprint of the classical 1725 text by Samuel Wyld, David Manthey created a font, Wyld (2001, +Italic), that was developed to explicitly match the original text, which was set in Caslon. The free typeface contains glyphs for several ligatures commonly used in printing during the early 18th century. It does not include a bold weight.
