Sol Matas

Argentinian type designer now based in Berlin. Award winner at Tipos Latinos 2010 for her caps only text typeface Parque Chas (done with Juan Pablo del Peral), created for maps and information design.

At Huerta Tipográfica [an Argentinian type foundry and coop that unites Juan Pablo Del Peral, Carolina Giovagnoli, Sol Matas and Andrés Torresi], she published Bitter HT (2011, a contemporary slab serif) and Parque Chas HT. Bitter is free at Google Web Fonts. It won an award at Tipos Latinos 2012. Also, Bitter HT was Sol's graduation typeface at FADU-UBA. Bitter was extended to the Devanagari typeface Kadwa in 2015, which can be obtained for free at Google Web Fonts.
