Danton Fullante Danton was born and raised Charleston, SC. During his graphic design studies at Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC), Danton used the eight letters of "Haagen Dazs" on a hand-painted sign found outside a Haagen Dazs ice cream shop in Charleston, SC, to make a comic book style typeface called Playground (2013, Lost Type).
