Catherine Leigh Schmidt American type designer, b. 1992, who has a BFA in Graphic Design from RISD, class of 2014. She currently teaches Graphic Design in the MFA program at California College of the Arts. In 2016, she published the free Google Font Yatra One (original design from 2014), a free Latin / Devanagari / Marathi brush typeface inspired by the hand-painted signage of a local railway in Mumbai.
