Twitter Emoji (Twemoji) [Xiangdong Zeng]

The Twemoji library offered support for +2k emojis in 2018, including skin tone and gender modifiers. The free font one CTAN is maintained by Xiangdong Zeng, and had 9155 glyphs on June 2020, and over 13,000 glyphs in July 2021.

Note that the resulting font will only be useful on systems that support layered color TrueType fonts; this includes Windows 8.1 and later, as well as Mozilla Firefox and other Gecko-based applications running on any platform.
