Using the Github API search, Nieskens verified that about 100,000 copies of Helvetica are on Github. Also at least 25% of the MyFonts fonts are on Github, and half of Type Network's fonts. In September 2017, these were the numbers of copies of famous typefaces on Github: Helvetica (100,194), Proxima Nova (67,810), Myriad Pro (38,794), Avenir (32,327), Museo (31,825), Lucida (27,225), Futura (20,872), Fraktur (18,908), Nexa (7,071), Courier (6,644).
