I created the Chalice Font from Unitarian Universalist (UU) chalices I collected from the UUA site (www.uua.org) and from various UU artwork. I published the font to http://www.uucss.org/outreach/chalices.html, and I announced it on a listserv for UU webmasters.

The chalice you get by typing the letter "M" is upside down. It is the chalice for the "Unitarian Society of New Brunswick" (USNB) which now appears to be "The Unitarian Society", http://www.unitariansociety.org/.

I had copied that chalice as-is from a UU Order of Service. After I announced the new font to the listserv for UU webmasters, a member of USNB e-mailed me to explain that the chalice is upside down and that he has seen it as such in various places. He did not know when this mistake started.

I never got around to redoing USNB chalice. It involves not just a 180 degree rotation, but adjusting the flame as well. I am no longer affiliated with UUs and have no plans to redo the chalice.
