Rudolf von Larisch


History


Typographer and graphic artist (b. 1856, Verona, d. 1934, Vienna). Author of "Beispiele künstlerischer Schrift, 5 Folgen" (Verlag Anton Schroll, Wien, 1900, 1902 and 1906) and "Unterricht in ornamentaler Schrift" (his calligraphy course notes, published with K.K. Hof und Staatsduckerei, Wien, 1909). His wife, Frau Hertha von Larisch, gave most of his work to the Klingspor Museum in Offenbach.

Ha, the famous French art nouveau type designer. Two of his contributions to the von Larisch volumes are shown.
