ABOUT

Mutsuba Jouhou

Commercial Japanese typefoundry. Their typefaces include:

  • Baou Sousho (2021). This is a digitization of a Japanese typeface that was originally published in 1990. It is one of the very few entirely cursive (sousho style) Japanese brush fonts. Mutsuba Jouhou obtained the rights to produce and sell the font from with the original designer and copyright owner, Wang Chaoying. His wife Ma Fangnan provided assistance for the typeface design back then.
  • Amakara and Fight. Mutsuba Jouhou got the rights to edit and sell the fonts in 2017 from Ikuo Fujimori after his company, Font Mura no Fude Yoko-chou, ceased its activities in 2006. These typefaces were updated and improved by Mutsuba Jouhou in the process and released in 2021.
