ABOUT

Colum Twomey

Colum Twomey designed the free truetype font Cló Gaelach (1993), a free Newman-style Gaelic font. Michael Everson revised it to Tuamach, also in 1993. A 1994 version of Tuamach has dotted consonants (which are missing in Gaelach and the earlier Tuamach), but it uses an inconvenient CER-GS encoding. These fonts should now be considered technically obsolete. Tuamach Unicode is a re-encoding in Unicode by KAD (Korvigelloù an Drouizig) in 2003.
