Jefferson J. Vorzimmer Jeff Vorzimmer is the New York-based designer of Vassallo (1993, handwriting), and the dymo font Plastique (1993, free). He writes about Vassallo: Vassallo was created from the handwriting of the girl who wrote the specials at the restaurant America on 18th Street (near 5th Ave.) in NYC. I thought her handwriting was very distinctive and I asked her if I could make a computer font of it. She seemed flattered by my asking.
