Teacher at the Landeskunstschule Hamburg am Lerchenfeld. Designer of the squarish blackletter typeface Johannes-Type (1933, Genzsch&Heyse). In 2015, Shoko Mugikura and Tim Ahrens revived Johannes Type as JAF Johannes.
