Joseph Apoux

French creator of the wonderful decorative caps called Alphabet Pornographique, circa 1880. As an example, the letter C is a nun performing a certain oral service on a hooded monk who is holding a whip. The full set of naughty caps can be seen here. The caps were digitized in 2007 by bobistheowl. For the sake of completeness, here is that alphabet again: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
