Prix Charles Peignot The Prix Charles Peignot is awarded approximately every four years to a truly deserving type designer under the age of 35. It is considered as the highest award in typography. The candidate is chosen by a committee of ATypI members who in turn are selected by the Board of Association Typographique Internationale, a society launched by Charles Peignot (1897-1984) in Lausanne in 1957.
