Boston-based foundry, est. 1817 by Edward Pelouze. Also called Bedlington&Ewer, Boston Type&Stereotype Co. (1825-1845), and John K. Rogers, Agent (the latter happened when it was bought by John K. Rogers and Edward Pelouze in 1853). Acquired by ATF in 1892. Free specimen books: Condensed specimen book from the Boston Type Foundry (1860, John K. Rogers&Co, Boston), Popular designs for artistic printers. Selected from the novelties manufactured by the Central type foundry, of St. Louis and Boston type foundry, of Boston.
