Johannes Heinecke
Designer in Lannion, France, of Sertofont, a metafont for Syriac created in 2001, and improved in steps until 2013. Serto is a form of the syllabic alphabet used for Aramaic (a Western semitic language) which has been spoken in the Near East since at least 1100 BC. More precisely, Sertois used for Syriac which is the variant of Aramaic spoken since the second century AD. |
