At the Intendencia Municipal de Montevideo (Uruguay), we found a free font, Montevideo JTG (2002), inspired by the handwriting of Uruguayan artist Joaquin Torres Garcia (2003). There was also a dingbat font, Montevideo JTG Symbol (2002). The original link died.
