John Stracke
Describing himself as a techno-geek, John Stracke made these free fonts: - The 805-character medieval script typeface Isabella (2003), based on the calligraphic hand used in the Isabella Breviary, made around 1497, in Holland, for Isabella of Castille, the first queen of united Spain. Available under general GNU license here.
- StayPuft (2003), a comic book face.
- Rockets (2006, grunge).
- Engadget (2005).
- Essays 1743, another medieval font: based on the typeface used in a 1743 English translation of Montaigne's Essays.
