Klaus Bartels
German type expert, 1948-2005. At the Berlin-based Berthold AG, he was responsible for the digitizing of its library. After its demise in 1993, he worked for its successor, H. Berthold Systeme GmbH, and this company made the collection available since 1997 as The Berthold Type Collection. In 2000, he founded Babylon Schrift Kontor (or BSK) which also had on board Wolfgang Talke, Bernd Pillich, and the type experts René Kerfante and Frank Sax. |
