A nice discussion of the Unicode issues arises. For example, The current version of the Gurmukhi Unicode standard does not have support for some special characters that are used in Gurbani/old Gurmukhi. AnmolUniBani, AnmolUniBani-Bold and AnmolUniBaniHeavy Unicode fonts do provide support for most of such characters.
