He discusses x-height (should be large), color (use white on dark becausec screens are additive color systems, mch brighter and more tiring than subtractive color systems, used, e.g., in print), width and letter spacing (be generous), punch width (or space within letters: should be generous), contrast (should be low: simple strokes with consistent thickness and weight). |
