The fonts were made in 2005-2006 by a German guy at Bissantz GmbH, Ralf Steinsträsser: TrueType Fonts for the character-oriented generation of sparklines with SparkMaker. They are dingbat fonts with lines, histograms, pieces of circles, all designed to make graphs, pie charts, and stock market charts. It is a data visualization tool.
