Nastaliq
A cursive style developed in the late 14th century in Iran, which allows very dense compositions and is very fluid and expressive. Letters run into each other, float, and can move up or down on a line. Shekaste Nastaliq (broken Nastaliq) is a style born out of Nastaligh. It is more angular and suitable for fast writing. |
