Young and Morgans Mfg Co.
[William T. Morgans]
American wood type manufacturer from the 19th century. William T. Morgans invented his own version of the router/pantograph for wood type manufacture and with George Young, he set up Young and Morgans Mfg Co. in Napanech, NY, to start producing wood type. A few years later, fire destroys the plant. Young sells his shares to H.K. Wilcox, at which point the company moves to Middletown, NY. In 1880, it becomes Morgans&Wilcox Mfg Co. |
