ABOUT

Horst Janssen

German printmaker, draftsman, and lithographer, whose prints are exaggerated, semi-surrealistic, and breathtakingly beautiful. He was born in Hamburg in 1929 and died in Oldenburg in 1995. His prints had a characteristic uneven hand-printed lettering that led Erica Jung and Ricardo Marcin to design the multi-featured opentype typeface Horst (2010). In 2012, this was followed by Nova Horst.
