Sean Maher
One of the trends in type design schools, started ca. 2010, was to make typefaces using genetic material from two existing ones. The results are called "offspring". One example of this is Sean Maher's art deco typeface Midtowne (2011), which combines ITC Kabel and Manhattan ITC. Akt (2011) is an extreme-contrast expermintal typeface. Sean is a student at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, CO. |
