MyFonts: Bestsellers for January 2012
The fifty best-selling typefaces at MyFonts, as reported by them on January 3, 2012. The strong grotesque and sans families are selling very very well. The geometric sans category is quite popular---Brandon Grotesque (HVD) leads the rankings for the n-th month in a row, while Futura PT and Code Pro (Svetoslav Simov) are a bit further down the list. The scripts are still quite present (10 out of 50) but are in a slight decline in overall ranking---in this category, Melany Lane by Ryan Martinson leads the sales this time, in third position. There are very few text families if one excludes the didones. The first one, Cassia, by Dieter Hofrichter, shows up in position 39 only, followed by Adelle (Type Together) in position 40. Mrs. Eaves is hanging on to position 50. |
