ABOUT

Ellen Stoehr

Wall Street Sans was created in 2012 by Ellen Stoehr (Minneapolis, MN). She writes: Similar to ability that con artists have to reveal what they want the viewer to see, optical illusions can usually be exposed or unveiled. I paired the mystery of optical illusions with the deceit of greedy modern day con artists, producing a typeface where the viewer can't quite determine if the letterform is receding into the background or coming forth into the foreground. I call it Wall Street Sans.
