Pete Russo
During his studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Pete Russo (aka Voodo Bownz) created the arts-and-crafts typeface Bownz (2013). He writes: "Bownz" is a decorative sans-serif typeface that borrows elements from mystical voodoo symbols known as veve's as well as the distinct style of artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He also made NYC Marble Cemetery Type (2013), based on letters found at the entrance of that cemetery. |
