Mariana Alen

Art director and lettering artist in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated from University of Buenos Aires, where she also completed the postgraduate Career in Type Design and is currently completing a Master'īs Degree in Typography Designer of the didone display typeface Goût (2014) and the warm wood type-inspired semi-Tuscan typeface Dobro (2014), which was finished during her studies at FADU / UBA. She calls Dobro a bluegrass typeface. It was designed, according to her web site, for a special edition of Rolling Stone magazine. Dobro was produced and finished by Sudtipos in 2019.
